Depilation is part of our daily lives whether we like it or not. Regardless of the way in which it is done, a series of recommendations must be taken into account before and after removing hair from the body.
From Atlantia, we recommend a daily skin care, but especially after depilation, because if the skin is not treated properly may appear irritations, redness and in the most extreme cases burns.
Before, during and after depilation
The first step towards healthy, hydrated and, in this case, depilated skin is exfoliation. Ideally, take a hot shower to open the pores and then massage the areas to be shaved with a mane glove and some neutral soap or directly with an exfoliating product.
Once the hair is done, it will come out easily no matter what form it is used to remove it: blade, depilatory cream, electric razor, wax or laser. Ideally, taking a cold shower after depilation will help to soothe the skin and close the pores again, thus avoiding infection.
As a last, if not the most important, step, is the hydration of the shaved areas. In this sense, our product Superdefense, enriched with shea butter, pure aloe vera and vitamin E, will help strengthen the skin’s natural systems while nourishing and repairing it.
It also has anti-inflammatory properties, helps cell growth, improves circulation in the affected areas (shaved in this case), nourishes and deeply hydrates all layers of the skin: epidermis, dermis and hypodermis.
Another product that could curdle after depilation is Pure Aloe Vera Gel. Being a 100% natural and ecological product, it protects and nourishes, repairing any skin affliction that may be present.
