The degree of soil fertility is one of the most important factors for crop productivity and growth.

This is why the practice of organic farming allows us to improve and increase the fruitful capacity of the land. Since it gives more relevance to the management of organic matter and the biological characteristics of the soil.

The continuous expansion of sterile and arid soil, due to poor tillage practices (conventional agriculture), can be reflected in a nutritional deficiency within our diet, as well as possible health problems.

FERTILE SOILS FOR FOOD SECURITY

According to data from the Spanish Society of Organic Agriculture (SEAE), «the current situation of the soils is worrying since more than 60% of agricultural land in Spain suffers erosion or is urbanized; Likewise, conventional soil management causes contamination and loss of fertility.

Likewise, the World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has declared 2015 as the international year of soils under the motto Healthy soils for healthy living, with the aim of raising awareness about the need to have fertile soils for food security and essential ecosystem functions.

ECO CULTIVATED ALOE VERA

At Atlantia we are fervently committed to organic farming as an asset for the fertility of the land and the subsequent nutritional improvement of the diet. Therefore, we make all our products using the raw material aloe vera from organic farming in the Canary Islands.

Thanks to the unique conditions that the Archipelago has (warm, arid and windy environment), we can affirm that nOur aloe vera is 100% organically grown: It is not transgenic and no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or fungicides have been used in its cultivation.

Furthermore, as we already mentioned, at Atlantia we have once again renewed our certification for Aloe Vera Juice. CRAE , endorsed by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Water of the Government of the Canary Islands.
