June 5 marks World Environment Day, a key date to reflect on the impact we generate on our environment and how our decisions—both individual and business—can contribute to protecting the planet. At Atlantia, this awareness is neither a novelty nor a marketing strategy: it is the central axis of everything we have done for more than two decades.

COMMITMENT FROM THE ORIGIN: CERTIFIED ORGANIC ALOE VERA

All our activity begins in the volcanic land of the Canary Islands, where we grow our star ingredient: Aloe vera barbadensis Miller, in exceptional conditions of light, temperature and soil quality.

This crop follows the principles of organic farming, under the control of the CRAE (Canarian Committee for Organic Agriculture) and is registered in the ROPE (Official Registry of Organic Producers), official ecological certification system recognized by the European Union according to Regulation (EU) 2018/848.

Unlike other general certifications, ROPE guarantees direct, local and transparent traceability, from the field to the laboratory, and guarantees that our crops are free of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and aggressive practices for the soil and biodiversity.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY: NOTHING IS WASTED

Once the pure juice of aloe vera is extracted, the rest of the leaf—the plant fiber—is not discarded. This byproduct is reused as natural compost, enriching other agricultural soils on the islands. This practice is a real and tangible example of circular economy applied to the dermocosmetic sector, reducing waste generation and returning part of what it gives us to the earth.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT WITH QUALITY SEAL

Our commitment to sustainability is certified by the standard ISO 14001:2015, awarded by AENOR, which recognizes the responsible management of our processes in relation to the environment.

In addition, we prioritize collaboration with local and proximity suppliers, which reduces emissions derived from transportation and strengthens the Canary Islands economy.

A conscious beauty, from within

At Atlantia we believe that real beauty is inseparable from respect for nature. It is not just about taking care of the skin with effective ingredients, but about building an ethical and sustainable relationship with the environment. From the soil to the label, every decision counts.

On this World Environment Day, we reaffirm our commitment:
an effective, clean and deeply connected dermocosmetic with the land that inspires it.
